Lorton is a very special place to visit.
It’s close to Keswick and the A66, Whinlatter Forest Park, and the beautiful gem town of Cockermouth, but is much more relaxed so you can get real peace and quiet in a pretty village and some proper walks in without too many people spoiling your views.
Obviously, LVS is here to provide good groceries, and a welcome sit down with a cuppa after you’ve been out and about, but there are some nice places to stay nearby with fabulous views to properly wind down. Watch out for rush hour though…
