CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: As we’re predominantly a grocery shop, we have been open throughout the pandemic. We’ve redesigned the inside of the shop to allow for ease of social distancing, but will continue to operate a ‘One Customer At A Time’ policy, and have provided hand sanitiser for you to use on entry to the shop.
Please maintain 2 metres between you if you are waiting outside and enjoy the scenery while you wait!
We’re happy to take cash as well as card payments.
Our ordering service is still available for locals who are unable to get out. Please call us on 01900 85102 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org for this service.
Drinks and snacks are available for takeaway only. The garden and toilet remain closed, and our water bottle refill service is suspended for the time being. *Coffee is available between 10.30am-4.30pm*
We’re happy to bring goods to your car if you’d rather not come inside at all.
We are incredibly busy and are prioritising the needs of our community. Lee is often running the shop single-handedly, so please be patient.
These measures are to minimise risk to ourselves and other customers so we can stay open for you!
Welcome to Lorton Village Shop, dubbed ‘The Shed With A View’, on account of it being quite a nice shed with quite a nice view.
Our mission is to become known as a ‘must-visit shop’. We’re aiming to achieve this by stocking the shop full of local and ethical items ranging from food, coffee and crafts to hikers’ and cyclists’ supplies, and most importantly, by always giving excellent customer service.
We now support over 90 other local businesses, which is quite a feat for such a tiny shed. The groceries list is ever-changing depending on what’s new and seasonal, so call Lee on 01900 85102 to find out what we’ve got in fresh and local this week.
We’re open from 10am to 5pm Monday – Saturday, always with a smile, and with the coffee machine on from 10.30am.
NEW for 2020! We now sell loose organic penne and basmati rice, and Ecover washing-up liquid and laundry liquid refills!
Do check us out on Facebook, but more importantly do drop by and pay us a visit. We’d love to see you.
